The pandemic may have given us an unusually short basketball season in 2021, but that didn't stop Annie Wright student-athletes and coaches from working hard and bringing home honors. Here's a recap of awards from the 2021 season.

2021 Nisqually All-League Girls Basketball

• MVP: Julianna Walker ’21
• 1st Team: Jazmyn Stone ’22 & Tala Mitchell ’23
• 2nd Team: Claire Sagiao ’23
• Honorable Mentions: Bella Spencer ’22 & Monee' DuBose ’23
• Coach of the Year: Chris Spivey

2021 Nisqually All-League Boys Basketball

• 1st Team: Hunter Carter ’24
• 2nd Team: Curtiz Carter ’22
• Honorable Mention: Jackson Bryant ’23

In addition, Julianna Walker ’21, who will play for Syracuse University's women's basketball team in the fall, earned the following honors:

• WIAA Athlete of the Week (week 17)
• Gatorade State Player of the Year
• Sis Names Female Athlete of the Year, Tacoma Athletic Commission
• All-Area Girls Basketball Player of the Year, The News Tribune
• All-State First Team, SBLive
• 3rd in Washington State scoring history with 2,834 career points
