Annie Wright Upper School science team emerged triumphant from the South Sound Regional Science Fair, held Saturday, March 23, at Pacific Lutheran University. Though the school has only had a science team for two years, we brought home seven awards.
Red tie class of '14 student Tessa Thurman won 1st place in the Environmental Sciences category, as well as the American Women Geoscientists (AWG) Award, U.S. Army Certificate of Achievement, Notebook Neatness Award, and Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
Blue tie class of '16 student Angela Song won 2nd Place in the microbiology category.
Red tie class of '14 students Heidi Bock and Christina Olivieri received Honorable Mentions in biochemistry. These were the only awards given in biochemistry.
